Lagos Life Game UNILAG Guide: Student Start, Halls and Exams

How do you start as a UNILAG student in Lagos Life Game?

Choose UNILAG Student · Akoka on the Home step, then choose your course. The public client offers this card when the starting city is Lagos and you reach the Home picker after the birth lottery. A Nepo result starts the Sim directly in its assigned flat, so it skips this picker.

This is a route within the game, not an application to the real University of Lagos. You still use the same account and sign-up flow. The beginner guide explains the steps that come before the Home picker.

The student card starts you with ₦14,000, a bunk in the hall and the first session’s fees paid. It lists no LAPO loan to repay. While you remain a fresher student, the client credits ₦3,000 each Monday from 9 AM, on the game clock. Selecting this card changes the usual working start; the figures for Mushin or Yaba plus the loan do not describe it.

Can an existing Sim enrol at UNILAG instead?

Yes. Travel to University of Lagos, Akoka, open the Senate Building and choose Apply & Matriculate. Pick a department and check the fee shown by your game before confirming. The client blocks another application if you are already enrolled or have already graduated.

Later enrolment gives you a degree course and eligibility for the hall, but it does not mark you as a fresher. The Monday allowance belongs to the new-game student route. Do not give up your job or housing on the assumption that enrolling later will pay it.

We do not quote an admission or session fee here. The public client has defaults, but it also accepts updated university fees from the server. Those defaults cannot establish the amount a live account must pay. The Senate Building’s Pay School Fees action is also where a continuing student pays for a new session when the game asks for it.

How much does the UNILAG hall cost?

The Hall of Residence, at UNILAG, Akoka, costs ₦1,200 per week. Moving into it later uses the same advance-and-agent calculation as other rentals: ₦3,600 up front. The fresher route begins in the hall; that later move-in amount is not an extra starting fee shown on its card.

For a fresher, one weekly allowance minus one week’s hall rent leaves ₦1,800. That is our arithmetic before food, travel, paid study activities or future fees. The allowance arrives on Monday and rent is due on Saturday, so keep the rent money aside as soon as it arrives.

The hall checks that you are currently studying at UNILAG. A visitor, a student at another university, or a graduate cannot newly move in. Taking UNILAG Short Courses is a separate certificate system and does not satisfy this degree-student check. This restricted room is excluded from our market rent table, because a non-student cannot choose it.

Which courses can you choose?

The client lists eight degree courses. Their lengths are four or five in-game academic years, not years you must wait in real life. Your course determines the skill developed by academic actions and which careers count as a match for the graduate pay bonus.

Degree course	Academic years	Course skill
Computer Science	4	Coding
Systems Engineering	5	Coding
Mass Communication	4	Charisma
Law	5	Charisma
Accounting	4	Hustle
Creative Arts	4	Music
Nursing Science	5	Fitness
Education	4	Charisma

Choose a subject that fits the work you want after graduation. The career and salary guide gives the base pay and skill gates; a degree does not make every career available without its other requirements.

How do you unlock and prepare for semester exams?

The Lecture Theatre runs lectures during 8 AM–6 PM, Monday to Friday, on the game clock. Evening Tutorial Class runs during 4 PM–10 PM, every day, so it is an alternative when the normal lecture is closed. Both count towards attendance; tutorials are paid activities, so check the action price before queuing one.

Before you can select Write the Semester Exam, the client requires:

• Fees paid for the current level, and no active ASUU strike.
• At least three lectures or tutorials in this semester.
• At least three game days since this semester began.
• The right campus and an exam start during 8 AM–8 PM.

Use Read in the Main Library, Night Reading (TDB), Photocopy Past Questions or group study to build preparation. Library work helps your preparation; it does not add a lecture or tutorial to the attendance count. A strike locks lectures and exams, while the client leaves library study available.

The exam score uses preparation, your course skill, mood and a random component. There is no guaranteed First Class recipe. Check the Results on the Portal action at the Senate Building for your record. A failed paper is a carry-over: the client resets that semester’s attendance and preparation, and you repeat the semester rather than moving up immediately.

What does a degree change after graduation?

The degree class depends on your cumulative CGPA. The client applies the following graduate bonuses to shift pay, with an extra 5% when the job matches your course:

Degree class	Minimum CGPA	Base graduate pay bonus
First Class	4.5	20%
Second Class Upper	3.5	12%
Second Class Lower	2.4	6%
Third Class	Below the Second Class Lower threshold	3%

That makes the largest graduate bonus 25% for a First Class graduate in a matching career. The salary table elsewhere on this site shows base career pay, so do not read this bonus as already included in it. First Class and Second Class Upper graduates can also enter a new job as a graduate trainee where the career has that rank. Later progress still follows the promotion ladder.

Graduation stops the fresher allowance. An existing hall resident has seven game days before the client moves them into Mushin, once they are not working or travelling. A graduate cannot newly rent the hall during that grace period. Budget for your next home before the final exam, using the move-in costs.

What was checked, and what still needs an account?

Student rules checked October 14, 2026. We read the publicly served Lagos Life client, including the student start card, campus actions, exam checks, degree bonuses and hall restrictions. We did not log in or call private game APIs. Rent and cash come from the same game-data source used by this site’s housing guide.

This is an unofficial fan guide for adults aged 18+. We have not played a full degree through a live account. Server-controlled university fees, an individual account’s available start options and future updates may differ from the public client. Use the prices and lock messages shown in your own game when deciding what to queue or pay.
