Lagos Life vs Abuja Life: Two Nigerian City Sims Compared

Lagos Life and Abuja Life are two separate, free browser life sims. Lagos Life began in Lagos, and its developer announced Abuja and Port Harcourt as live on October 6, 2026. Abuja Life is a different game, built only around Abuja, with player-run shops and weekly elections. Each has its own maker. Checked October 8, 2026.

Is Lagos Life the same game as Abuja Life?

No. They are two separate games with separate addresses, sign-ups and makers. Lagos Life lives at lagoslife.app. Abuja Life lives at abjlife.app and is set only in Abuja. Both are free browser life sims in which real players share a Nigerian city, which is why people link them.

Abuja Life makes the link itself. Its FAQ asks whether it is “the Abuja version of the Lagos sims games”, answers that you can think of it that way and speaks to people who have played Lagos Life. That is Abuja Life describing itself. Each game names its own maker: Nandatech for Abuja Life, and an individual in Nigeria in the Lagos Life Terms of Use.

Lagos Life vs Abuja Life side by side: the city, the price, where you play and the shared city

The table has the details. The Lagos Life column comes from the game, its Terms of Use and the developer’s announcement as Vanguard reported it. The Abuja Life column was read from its website and FAQ on October 8, 2026. The pages are linked under the table, and the Lagos Life counts in it are for Lagos.

Does Lagos Life have Abuja now?

Yes, according to its developer. On October 6, 2026 the developer posted that Abuja and Port Harcourt are now live in Lagos Life, and Vanguard reported the post on 7 October 2026. So there are two Abujas you can play in a browser: the one inside Lagos Life, and Abuja Life, a separate game built only around Abuja.

Do not mix the two up. The Abuja inside Lagos Life is part of the Lagos Life game, so you reach it from the Lagos Life site and not from abjlife.app. Abuja Life has its own site, its own sign-up and its own maker.

We have not published numbers for the Abuja inside Lagos Life yet, because our tables cover Lagos. That is why the table above says “in Lagos” beside the Lagos Life counts, and why we do not compare the two Abujas row by row. Our homes and rent guide and transport fares guide say the same.

How do work, homes and travel differ?

Work, home and travel compared: Lagos Life careers, rent and fares against Abuja Life player-owned shops, flats and taxis

Work. In Lagos, Lagos Life has 20 careers. Each pays per shift and pay rises with rank, and you can also buy one of eight businesses. The jobs and salaries guide lists every Lagos career. Abuja Life describes two-minute shifts at businesses owned by other players, or the FCT Civil Service, and says wages go to those players, not to the computer.

Homes. In Lagos, Lagos Life has five homes, and rent is charged per week, from ₦2,400 to ₦1,500,000. See the homes and rent guide. Abuja Life lets you rent in Nyanya, Kubwa, Gwarinpa or Maitama and then furnish the place. Its site says renters pay a district’s real estate firm every month, so compare the unit before you compare the rent.

Travel. Inside Lagos, Lagos Life has six ways to get around, from trekking to your own car, and the transport fares guide prices each of them. Abuja Life lists taxis, shared cabs, keke napep, the bus and your own car, and says fares follow the real roads.

What does “player-run” mean in Abuja Life?

Abuja Life’s site says its businesses, jobs and government all belong to players, and that what you do changes the city for everyone. It describes:

  • Weekly elections. Players run for Senator of their district or for FCT Minister, residents vote, and the winners hold office for the week.
  • A treasury. Tax on every sale goes to the treasury, and the Minister sets the tax.
  • Player-owned shops. Restaurants, shops, real estate firms and the club are owned by players.
  • Police and audits. Police stop and search on the streets, and officials who embezzle are audited.

That is what Abuja Life says about itself. We have not played it for this page, and we do not claim that Lagos Life lacks anything beside it. The Lagos Life facts here are the ones in our other guides, read from the game.

What does each game cost?

Both are free to start.

  • Lagos Life is free to play, and it sells optional Game Naira for real money. The Terms of Use say Game Naira cannot be withdrawn or exchanged back into real money.
  • Abuja Life says you never need to pay to play. A few things are optional and cost real money: topping up your in-game wallet, registering a business, standing for election and placing an ad.

Read each game’s own screen before you pay. Our how to play guide covers what the Lagos Life sign-up asks for.

Which address is the real Lagos Life?

Lagos Life lives at lagoslife.app and Abuja Life at abjlife.app: check the address before you sign up

Lagos Life lives at lagoslife.app, and its Terms of Use name a backup address. Abuja Life lives at abjlife.app, which is a different site. Treat any other address as unofficial, including copies and look-alike names.

Game names overlap too. A listing called Abuja Life RP on the Jabali AI platform describes a different game, one of driving, jobs and crime in an open city. It is not the Abuja Life compared here, and we have not looked at it further.

Which one should you start with?

Both are free, and they are separate accounts, so you can try both.

  • Start with Lagos Life if you want one game with Lagos on the Lagos clock, and now Abuja and Port Harcourt too, with the careers, rent and fares our guides cover for Lagos.
  • Start with Abuja Life if you want a game built only around Abuja, with its player-run shops and elections.

No. They are separate games with separate addresses, sign-ups and makers. Lagos Life lives at lagoslife.app and Abuja Life lives at abjlife.app. Lagos Life also has an Abuja of its own now, which is part of Lagos Life and not the Abuja Life site. This site is not connected to either.

Is Abuja Life the Abuja version of Lagos Life?

Abuja Life's own FAQ says you can think of it that way: a free browser life sim set in the real Abuja, played with other people. It is still a separate game. Its site names Nandatech as the maker, and the Lagos Life Terms of Use name an individual in Nigeria.

Does Lagos Life have Abuja?

Yes, according to its developer, who posted on October 6, 2026 that Abuja and Port Harcourt are live in Lagos Life. Vanguard reported the post the next day. Our tables still cover Lagos only, so we have not compared that Abuja with Abuja Life.

Is Abuja Life free like Lagos Life?

Both are free to play. Abuja Life's site says a few extras cost real money: wallet top-ups, registering a business, standing for election and placing an ad. Lagos Life sells optional Game Naira, which its Terms say cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for real money.

Is there an Abuja Life app?

Abuja Life's site says you play it in a web browser on Android, iPhone and computers, and that you can add it to your home screen. On October 8, 2026 we found no App Store or Google Play listing under that name, so check who made any app before you install it.

Do Lagos Life and Abuja Life share accounts or a world?

We saw no sign of it on either site. Each has its own address and sign-up, so treat them as two games, and never reuse a password you use anywhere else.
