Are Abuja and Port Harcourt open in Lagos Life Game?
The developer says so. Abuja and Port Harcourt were announced as live on October 6, 2026, and Vanguard reported the post the next day. Whether a city is open for your own account is a different question, and we cannot answer it: the switch is set by the server after you log in, not in the public game files. We have not logged in, booked a flight or seen a live Abuja or Port Harcourt account.
What we can read is the public client, the same files we read for Lagos. Everything below, from the careers to the rent and the flights, comes from it as of October 8, 2026.
What jobs can you do in Abuja and Port Harcourt?
Abuja lists five careers, four of them open from day one, and Port Harcourt lists five, four open. Pay is naira per shift before tax, the same unit as in our Lagos jobs and salaries guide, and days and hours are Lagos time.

Most of these jobs repeat Lagos pay. Of Abuja’s five careers, four pay exactly the same five-rank ladder as a Lagos career, and so do four of Port Harcourt’s five. In Abuja, Mai Shayi matches Lagos Chef, Keke Riding matches Fitness Coach, Lounge Waiting matches Football and Wuse Market Trading matches Trading. In Port Harcourt, Bole & Fish matches Chef, Ferry Work matches Fitness Coach, Creek Road Trading matches Trading and Security matches Retail. Moving city for one of them changes where you work, not what a rank pays.
The exceptions carry the money. Abuja’s Civil Service asks for Charisma 2 or Coding 2 where the Lagos version asks for Hustle 3, and its top rank, Permanent Secretary, pays ₦82,000 a shift against ₦76,000 in Lagos. Port Harcourt’s Oil & Gas needs Fitness 3 or Coding 3 and climbs from ₦20,000 to ₦96,000 a shift as Country MD, the second-best top-rank pay in any of the three cities after Lagos Music at ₦99,000. How much is rent in Abuja and Port Harcourt?
Rent is charged per week, as in Lagos, and moving in costs 3 weeks of rent up front. Abuja lists five homes, from ₦2,800 in Kubwa to ₦1,400,000 in Asokoro. Port Harcourt lists four, from ₦2,600 in Rumuokoro to ₦220,000 in Old GRA.

The cheap end is close everywhere. The hard-start room costs ₦2,400 a week in Mushin, ₦2,800 in Kubwa and ₦2,600 in Rumuokoro, and the balanced home costs ₦6,000 a week in Yaba, Gwarinpa and D-Line alike. The cities split at the big-spender flat: ₦17,000 in Lekki Phase 1, ₦34,000 in Wuse 2 and ₦32,000 in Woji. The game’s own help says you can keep one home in each city. How do you get between Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt?
The game’s client lists three ways: a flight, the night bus and a drive in your own car. Here they are side by side.

What does a flight cost?
Tickets are sold by the game’s own airline, Lagos Life Air. Each route has an economy fare and the cabin multiplies it: ×1.8 for premium economy, ×4 for business and ×9 for first class. The game works a ticket out as ₦50 × round(route fare × cabin × demand surge × rush hour ÷ ₦50), so every price is a multiple of ₦50.

Tickets rise ×1.5 at 06:00–09:00 and 16:00–20:00 (Lagos time), the same rush-hour windows as cab fares.
The server can add a demand surge of up to ×5 on top of that. A public client cannot see today's surge, so the table shows none.
A cab to the airport is added to the booking unless you are already at one. From ₦1,000,000,000 in net worth the game multiplies ticket prices by ×10, and by more at higher wealth.
On the Lagos to Abuja route the same one-way seat costs ₦150,000 in economy and ₦1,350,000 in first class. Two things can push a ticket above the table: rush hour adds ×1.5 at 06:00–09:00 and 16:00–20:00 (Lagos time), and the server sets a demand surge between ×1 and ×5 that a public client cannot show. Stack both at the top and a Lagos to Abuja economy ticket reaches ₦1,125,000.
What about the night bus and the drive?
The night bus costs ₦25,000 and takes 3 hours, and the fare rises to ₦37,500 at rush hour. The drive needs a car of your own and costs fuel for 440 km instead of a ticket; it takes 2.5 hours, or 3 at rush hour. Both leave you tired: the bus takes 18 energy points and 16 hygiene, and the drive takes 24 and 16. Take the bus when cash is short and the flight when time is. Can you start the game in Abuja or Port Harcourt?
The birth lottery still gives you a LAPO or a Nepo start, and each city has its own start homes and its own Nepo job. The LAPO picks hold the same cash everywhere, and the Nepo flat and job are what change.

The client shows a “Starting in” choice on the new-game screen only to players the game places near Abuja or Port Harcourt, with that city, Lagos and the other city as the three options. Everyone else starts in Lagos. The note under the choice says Lagos is “a flight or bus away, any time”. We read this from the code and did not test it. What does this page not cover?
We read careers, homes and the trips between cities. Four things are missing, and you should not assume the Lagos numbers for them:
- Whether a city is open for your account. That is a server setting, so only the game can tell you.
- Today’s flight surge. The server sets it, and a public client cannot see it.
- Inside the two cities. We have not read local transport fares, businesses or land for Abuja or Port Harcourt, so the Lagos tables on our other pages do not apply to them.
- The extras. The client also prices private jets, helicopter rides, bus-park services and a hired-driver version of the drive, and we have not tabulated them.
