Is Ibadan Life the same game as Lagos Life?
No. Lagos Life lives at lagoslife.app and Ibadan Life lives at ibadanlife.app. Each has its own sign-up, its own money and its own maker: an individual in Nigeria named in the Lagos Life Terms of Use, and Uphiva Ltd for Ibadan Life. Both are free browser games in which real players share a Nigerian city, which is why people put them side by side.
Ibadan Life says the same about itself. Its About page calls Ibadan the first city, says each city is its own game “with its own residents and its own economy”, and names Osogbo Life as the next one. Lagos Life does not appear on its pages.
The table has the details. The Lagos Life column comes from the game, its Terms of Use and the developer’s announcement as Vanguard reported it. The Ibadan Life column was read from its home page, its About page and its outline for search tools on October 8, 2026. Those pages are linked under the table, and the Lagos Life counts in it are for Lagos.

What does Ibadan Life say you can do?
Ibadan Life describes a life game on the real streets of Ibadan. Its pages say you can:
- Claim an address. Pick a real street and take a plot on it. Each street has a limited number of plots, worked out from its real length, and when an area fills up new players rent a room from a landlord.
- Buy land and build. Land goes through a survey, a deed and a Certificate of Occupancy at the Secretariat in Agodi, then you build in stages. Its pages name fake agents and omo onile among the risks.
- Rent a floor in Cocoa House. That is the 26-storey tower at Dugbe. You can open an office there and hire other players.
- Work and trade. Its outline lists careers with shifts, quick gigs, trading between areas, running a buka and renting rooms to other players.
- Keep yourself going. Needs fall in real time, and you eat, sleep and go out.
That is what Ibadan Life says about itself. We have not played it for this page, and we do not say how well any of it works.
How do work, land and homes compare?
Work. In Lagos, Lagos Life has 20 careers. Each pays per shift and pay rises with rank, and you can also buy one of eight businesses. The jobs and salaries guide lists every Lagos career.
Land. Lagos Life sells six plots of land. Their value grows every week, and when you buy, an omo-onile can turn up and ask for 10% of the price. Our land section explains the rates. Ibadan Life puts land at the centre instead: you claim a plot, then chase the paperwork before you build.
Homes. In Lagos, Lagos Life has five homes, and rent is charged per week, from ₦2,400 to ₦1,500,000. See the homes and rent guide. In Ibadan Life you start from a plot on a real street, and rent a room only when the land on your street is gone.
What does each game cost?
Both are free to start, and both sell in-game money for real money.
- Lagos Life is free to play. Its optional Game Naira can be bought with real money, and the Terms of Use say it cannot be withdrawn or exchanged back into real money.
- Ibadan Life is free in the browser. Its own money, Ẹyọ, can be bought with real money but can never be cashed out, says its outline. The About page adds that land, houses, jobs and money in the game are fiction.
Which address is the real Lagos Life?
Lagos Life lives at lagoslife.app, and its Terms of Use name a backup address. Ibadan Life lives at ibadanlife.app. Treat any other address that asks for your login as unofficial, including copies and look-alike names. This wiki is an unofficial fan guide and never asks for your password. Our login and sign-up guide shows how to find the real Lagos Life sign-up page.
Which one should you start with?
Both are free, and they are separate accounts, so you can try both.
- Start with Lagos Life if you want 20 careers on the Lagos clock, weekly rent and the fares our guides price for Lagos, in a game that now also has Abuja and Port Harcourt.
- Start with Ibadan Life if you want a game built on one real city, with plots on real streets, land paperwork and offices in Cocoa House.
